The scrubbers can be designed as single or multistage units depending on the kind of pollutants, required emission values and required residual materials. The scrubber can be used for acidic, neutral or alkaline processes.

The quencher is integrated in the scrubber inlet for cooling the waste gas to cooling limiting temperatures.
