Floor Toppings / Flooring / Ceramic Tile Systems

Steuler delivers floor toppings in conformity with DIN 28052-3 and tile systems in accordance with DIN 28052-5 (combination floorings) as well as chemically resistance flooring using the vibration method based on AGI Guideline page 40 for:

• Wine making operations
• Food industry
• Beverage industry
• Dairies
• Meat processing plants
• Pharmaceutical companies

Special demands are made on floor linings and toppings in winemaking operations, the food and beverage industries as well as the meat processing and dairy industries. Steuler offers a wide range of lining materials that meet the requirements specific to these sectors.

Tested floor toppings and linings

Steuler offers safe and well-tested protection for the structure in conformity with hygiene regulations. The tolerance of the lining materials and resin cements used to bed and joint tile for use with foodstuffs has thus been tested and approved. There is appropriate certification for the suitability of our materials for these uses.

Permanent protection against mechanical loads

For areas with fork-lift traffic or where palettes are moved, we recommend our highly wear-durable floor toppings and flooring materials to ensure smooth operations over the long term.

High chemical resistance

In the food industry, not only the usual stress from fruit, wine lactic acid and lye has to be considered, protection also has to be offered from the cleaning and disinfectant chemicals used on the surface. Floor toppings and linings also have to be specified to withstand such extremely aggressive cleaning and disinfectant agents.
Steuler has a number of lining materials and tile systems available for use under any of these prevailing conditions.

High thermal durability

The temperature can fluctuate suddenly, for instance if hot water runs out on the floor or if it is cleaned with a steam jet. In standard coatings, this can quickly lead to dissolving of the surface, to cracks and wear. By using special resins and a proper system structure for the lining, we can also meet these requirements. For extreme conditions, we recommend our ceramic tile systems that we can install using either the conventional method but also using the vibration method.

Pore-tight, anti-skid, decorative and easy-care

A closed, tight-pore surface is important to simplify cleaning and care of the floor. In wet areas, it is essential to use flooring with anti-skid properties or tile with a structured surface. Steuler also has decorative grades of flooring available in a variety of RAL-colours. Pigmented resins or colour silica
