Floor toppings and brick and tile

Floors in factories, warehouses, commercial facilities, foodstuff and pharmaceutical production plants but also floors in the electronics industry are often exposed to corrosion and mechanical stress or have to meet specific demands. The enormous selection of floor toppings and brick and tile we offer here at Steuler enables us to find the right topping, brick or tile floor for virtually any requirement. By carefully selecting the right product, we can offer all the following features:
  • Chemical and thermal resistance
  • Resistance to weathering and aging
  • Excellent resistance to mechanical loads
  • Physiological safeness
  • Bridge cracking
  • Electrical conductivity
  • Anti-skid properties
  • Decontamination ability
  • Optically appealing through colour-coordinated designs

Steuler develops, produces, delivers and installs the following flooring using all commonly available resins:

• Self-pouring, mineral-filled risen coatings in thicknesses from 1 to 5 mm. Coatings you can pour are easy to apply and offer a smooth, optically appealing and usually glossy surface. Additional work steps can make the surface either matt or anti-skid.

• Trowel-applied coatings for floors under severe mechanical, chemical and thermal stress in thickness from 3 to 8 mm. Steuler trowel-applied coatings on a polyurethane, polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy resin base are, depending on the requirement, filled with special fillers and can, in addition, also be reinforced with glass fibre mats.

• Sprinkle coatings in thicknesses from 3 to 6 mm on an epoxy resin or vinyl ester base are often used because they are so easy to apply. The selection of the proper sprinkle material allows anti-skid and attractively colourful floors to be created.

• Resin screeds on a polyurethane or epoxy resin base are available in thicknesses up to 20 mm. The use of these manual as well as machine applied screed toppings are used in a number of applications. They can often be found in special grades
in- the foodstuff and pharmaceutical industries. Special fillers allow you to create optically appealing, but also highly resistant floors.

• Membranes in combination with ceramic brick and tile bedded and jointed in silicate and resin cements, as well as carbon materials, result in flooring that meets the highest standards. Enormous mechanical loads, temperature fluctuations and enormous chemical stresses can therefore be safely managed by theses floors.

Substrate analyses, operational loads, client wishes and required economies determine how the flooring system is structured. Floor toppings and acid-resistant brick and tile linings from Steuler protect the concrete substrate from corrosive attack, prevent the penetration by chemicals and hazardous materials into the substrate and contribute to preserving the value of the facility. Tried-and-proven solutions for expansion joints, gutters and their connectors, but also detailed seals for foundations and factory halls complement our floors.
