Sheep move in at Steuler

News

The Steuler Group produces around forty percent of its own electricity requirements at the Höhr-Grenzhausen site.

This is made possible by a large-scale photovoltaic system, which was officially accepted and put into operation at the end of July.

On an open area of three hectares, more than 9,000 modules with a total output of almost 3,700 kWp provide modern energy generation. And the maintenance of the site is also sustainable: on Monday, 500 sheep moved onto the fenced area to eat away the green growth around the photovoltaic modules within a few days.
