Responsibility

We are doing a lot to achieve our sustainability goals and report on some of our activities here - stay up to date.

Christmas donation 2025

Taking responsibility is close to our hearts.

That's why this year, too, we are foregoing large gifts and instead helping
where support is urgently needed with a donation.

This year, our Christmas donation will once again remain in the region: it will be divided equally
between the Katharina Kasper School in Wirges and the Child Protection Association in Höhr-Grenzhausen.

Katharina Kasper School in Wirges

This time, we are donating part of our Christmas donation to the Förderkreis der Katharina-Kasper-Schule e.V. (Friends of Katharina Kasper School Association) in Wirges. This will fulfill a big wish of the pupils: a new four-person swing for the outdoor area, which will allow them to exercise and have fun together in the fresh air during breaks.

The Katharina Kasper School in Wirges is a state-approved special school that focuses on holistic and motor development.

Students here receive individual support and are encouraged in their personal, social, and practical life skills development.  Independence and inclusive coexistence are top priorities. Everyone—with or without disabilities—should be able to live their lives independently and actively participate in the community. Life skills are taught and life orientation is imparted on the basis of trust and confidence.

Child Protection Association Höhr-Grenzhausen

The second part of our Christmas donation this year will benefit children and families in the area around our headquarters in Höhr-Grenzhausen.
The Child Protection Association Westerwald Höhr-Grenzhausen e.V. is committed to protecting children from violence, keeping them out of poverty, helping them in times of need, and enforcing children's rights. Its goal is a child-friendly society in which the mental, psychological, social, and physical development of children and young people is promoted. Children and young people should be able to have a say when decisions are made about them or plans are made for them.

Through its mobile counseling office, school social work, parenting courses, social work in daycare centers, and a family counseling office, the Child Protection Association team provides advice in emergency and conflict situations, helps with questions of personal development, offers social skills training, and provides support in life crises. Right here in Westerwald, wherever help is needed most.
