How Hans-Peter Weber became an indispensable specialist

My path with Steuler

The Steuler Group opens up new perspectives for individual development and nothing proves this better than the real stories of the people at our sites.

One of them is that of Hans-Peter Weber, who specialized in specific production processes after completing his training and who appreciates the human side of Steuler the most.

We had the pleasure of talking to him about his development with us:

Dear Hans-Peter Weber, before we start: We are delighted that you are sharing your story!

Thank you very much. I've been with the team for a long time and have met many different people along the way. It's nice to share my experiences and show what working at Steuler means to me.

How did your career with us begin?

I started my apprenticeship as a plastics fitter in 1991. This time was very formative for me, as I not only learned the basics of my trade, but also got an impression of the cooperation and mutual trust within the company.

What was one of the moments when you felt you had really arrived?

I think when I finished my apprenticeship, I was sure that I had found the right job - both professionally and personally.

The feeling of belonging accompanied me from the very beginning and has not left me to this day.

Is that what makes the Steuler community for you?

Definitely! The team spirit and willingness to help that I experience here are exceptional. It's a good feeling to know that colleagues are always on hand to offer help and advice.

That's also what I particularly appreciate, because if the team spirit isn't right, the technical tasks can still be interesting. For me, both are just right.

How have you already progressed in your development?

Over the years, I have specialized in various production processes and products. I have always been interested in learning new techniques and expanding my knowledge. It was important to me not to constantly move into other areas, but to immerse myself in my professional field and manufacture high-quality products.

This specialization enabled me to do that and I was able to grow with these challenges.

And in doing so, you have also established yourself as an important pillar for our team and the company. What makes you particularly proud of your personal journey?

I don't see myself alone on this path. What makes me proud above all is that I have met so many different and valuable people. Everyone has their own story and contributes to the success of the company in their own way. This diversity and mutual respect is what makes working at Steuler special and is what has meant the most to me over the years.

That's a very nice attitude, especially considering how long you've been with the company. What about your path did you not expect when you started with us?

When I started my apprenticeship, I couldn't have imagined the range of products we create here. This makes the work even more varied than expected and there is more to be proud of at the end of the day.

Furthermore, before I started my career, I had an idea of rather strict hierarchies - so I was pleasantly surprised by the openness of my superiors, who really listen to you and with whom you shape the company together instead of just being seen as an “executive”. You can achieve a lot in such a supportive environment.

We are very pleased to hear this and thank you for the interview and your openness. Thank you for being part of Steuler!

This personal story is one of many special people who have made Steuler what it is today.
