The works council, HR management and executive management can now present €1,000 to an employee who has run into financial difficulties through no fault of their own. The unexpected donation will help the employee find his or her way out of short-term financial difficulties. Thanks to the donation, the Steuler employee and his/her family will be able to celebrate the approaching Christmas holidays with fewer worries and can delight in the smiling eyes of his or her children.
The Steuler Group had previously received the amount as prize money. As part of the Westerwald business reception, the Steuler Group was distinguished as a model company in front of 500 guests from the world of business and politics. A jury comprising representatives from business development, an equality body, the Rhine-Westerwald municipal trades association, the Montabaur branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Montabaur Employment Office paid homage to the extraordinary dedication of the Steuler Group, which is based in Höhr-Grenzhausen. The medium-sized company received second prize as a family-friendly company. The committee was convinced by the wide range of measures that allow Steuler employees to harmoniously combine their careers with a family life. In addition to individual working time models, workplace childcare, job sharing and flexible models for re-entering the working world following parental leave or illness, Steuler also promotes the personal development and health of employees. This includes language courses, workplace healthcare services, training measures, collective cookery courses and team events.
